Since 2000, Danteco has been modifying standard T-code ISO tank containers to rebuild bitumen tanks in Rotterdam Port. The modification of the stainless-steel ISO tank container consists of installing a pair (two) of flame pipes with an outlet (chimneys) through the boiler to the top of the tank. This tank can now be re-heated with two diesel burners through the flame tubes. After modification, the rebuilt bitumen tank of Danteco is inspected by the inspection body Lloyds Register or SGS, provided with a 5-year test certificate, and is then intermodal usable for transport by truck, container ship, barge, and rail by train. After complete modification and full maintenance, the tank is suitable for dedicated bitumen transport and storage of bitumen and asphalt emulsion.

Our rebuilt bitumen tank containers are separated for four purposes: tank containers for bitumen storage, short-sea, deep-sea shipping, and rail transportation. All Danteco tanks have the highest quality design and construction and conform strictly to the latest international approvals.
